Last week was April Fools, and I couldn’t resist.
I prank called one of Spectrum’s top agents, pretending to be an agent from a competing agency. I told him the owner had given me a sole mandate and that I was planning to show the property that coming weekend.
He was understandably upset — but he stayed professional. And more than anything, he hit me with the facts:
✅ He already had a signed sole mandate
✅ He had a show day planned and booked
✅ He was ready to send me the mandate immediately
That moment taught me something important (aside from the fact that he’s got nerves of steel):
>Always lead with facts.
>Protect your work with binding documents.
>And have passion and belief in what you do.
Because when you’re prepared, even a prank call can’t shake your confidence.
