In 'A Tale of Two Cities', Charles Dickens narrates: 'it was the best of times; it was the worst of times'... a juxtaposition comparing best and worst days of the times...
in this Cape luxury we experience the best of summer; the best of winter all in one beautiful home... juxtaposition where you are not expected to choose the better season but invited to indulge, elegantly in the best of both times of life...
Golden sunshine pouring in through windows on all levels, an atrium-center fills the home with the magnificence of this seasonal and warmth of light and then the grey, cloudy days where the firelight has the same golden array pouring through the living, kitchen and lounge areas...
Take a stroll with me through the home of your dreams and come back to let me know how it meets your expectations; dreams and fulfills the needs of every season... and make your offer first.
In my pics you'll see the array of the usual summer, golden glow taking you away to the sea of visuals of the sea, since you're one block away... the juxtaposition... the grey, cool, winter days where warm fire-side glow takes you into the tea and biscuit display of curling up with a good book on those stormy Cape days... indulgent, elegant and restoration waiting for you to pick it up.
Entering the front door, hallway takes you through, past the guest amenities, double electric, extra-sized garage into the dining room, where the room fills with elegance and extravagance seated next to the atrium, you look through the glass doors onto the living areas .
A light passage takes you through to the main living area where the feeling of space and ample time to fill your day takes you, either, out onto the pool patio, or over into the kitchen. Solid wooden finishes fill the kitchen with yet another complimentary golden glow with a generous number of cupboards around the entire kitchen. There are appliance spaces for microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and double-door fridge.
Crystal blue pool, light patio with built-in braai overlooking the beach...
Cooking breakfast overlooking the sea, evening cocktails in the pool and we haven't gone upstairs yet...
First floor has luxury everywhere with a lounge in two of the three bedrooms and a patio for each, vistas from all angles of our Atlantic coast line. Two of the bedrooms have a full en-suite bathroom, each with bath and shower, there is a private bathroom for the third room as well.
Going up the stairs takes you to the rooftop views, overlooking a far more full vista of the ocean blue... yet hidden discretely at the end of this rooftop is a gorgeous little... what should we call it, study, studio office, reception area... what ever you'd like to make it, it's the perfect little hide away for a romantic dinner, creatives, whatever little get aways you need, it's quite stunning and unique to have.
